Diet/Nutrition/Weight loss: A recent medical research article compared “intermittent energy restriction diet” (500-600kcal/d for 2 nonconsecutive days per week and 5 days of usual diet) or a “continuous energy restriction diet” (1200-1500 kcal/d for 7 days per week). Intermittent energy restriction is an effective alternative diet strategy for weight reduction. The study was done on diabetics. This may or not apply to the general population.
